Important Announcement

TGC 2015 has been officially cancelled

Atlantic Canada experienced a historic winter, and Charlottetown PEI was hit especially hard. Our host church, Grace Baptist, received heavy damage to their roof and parking lot. They are embarking on a huge renovation this year and as a result they will be unable to host our 2015 conference. We ask for your prayers for Grace Baptist; this body of believers has a heart for Atlantic Canada and they are committed to the vision and purpose of TGC moving forward. For any who have pre-registered, you will receive a full refund.

TGC Atlantic Canada: looking to the future

Our desire for the TGC Atlantic Canada chapter is to strengthen and support churches across our region. We are hoping to do this with so much more than just a conference. We are planning to expand our chapter, focus on getting resources into the hands of our churches, and to use our website as a hub of communication and fellowship centered on Christ and the gospel.
We have strengthened our council, which now includes churches from all four Atlantic Provinces. Stephen Bray, Lead Elder of Calvary Baptist in St. John’s NL, continues to be the chairman. Jeff Eastwood of Grace Baptist in Charlottetown PEI is the vice chairman and Brother Kent Compton of the Free Church of Scotland joins Jeff as our PEI reps. Jeff Woodcock from Open Bible Church in Bridgewater and Brad Somers from Pax North in Halifax serve as representatives from Nova Scotia. From New Brunswick, we have Bev Amos of Devon Park Baptist Church in Fredericton and Andrew Ardern of Cumberland Bay Baptist Church. We are also seeking one more representative from each of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
These Churches support TGC Atlantic Canada both with spiritual and financial support. We are seeking to grow our financial base for two reasons: to keep the conference as affordable as possible and to build seed money to provide more resources to our region.

TGC Atlantic Canada: ways to be involved

We are pleased to announce we are looking to build our chapter and coalition. In the coming months we will be launching a TGC Church map on our website. This will be a list of churches which identify with or support the TGC idea of Christ-focused gospel centeredness. You can register your church to be seen by folks from around the world and allow people moving to your area and looking for a church to know a little more clearly what you are about.
We are also looking for financial partners. If you would like to join the coalition of TGC Atlantic Canada there will be place to do so on our website. The lead pastor of any church that partners with us financially will receive a registration to the yearly conference. We are looking to bolster our financial base to not only make our conference better, but we also have a vision of giving away more resources to needy churches and even look to missions and church planting.

TGC 2016 will be our Biggest Conference ever!

Our focus on August 2-4, 2016 will be The Trinity: 3 Persons, 1 Gospel. We will once again come together to celebrate Jesus Christ and His gospel through the systematic study of God’s Word. We tentatively have Alistair Begg, Michael Reeves and Mez McConnell coming to unpack the persons and work of the Trinity. Nancy Guthrie, Jen Wilkins and Melissa Kruger are tentatively booked to walk our sisters in Christ through this same subject. We are aiming to make this the best attended and biggest resource-giving conference we’ve ever done. We will equip the saints for the work of ministry in every way possible. Please pray for us, support us and come together with us! See you all in Charlottetown in 2016.
